Re: Phil missing from Jerry Tribute |
Phil wasn't singing too much at this point in the band's history ... that's really not along the lines of what I'm discussing ...

Re: Phil missing from Jerry Tribute |
although the war is serious, this forum really is fun. Thats why I'm married to a mushroom, I'm a fungi.
The higher I get, the more conspiracies that fester in me. Again, Phil & Bob are fine friends. But wasn't that National Anthem great??? the Vietnam Vets Color guard and to honor America! great stuff! but what IS Vince Welnick putting in his jacket pocket?
Maybe Phil had personal family business. Like Montana not being at the Stuporbowl and (shhhhhhh...)maybe not!
hey now, just ignore my post and float around it!

Re: Phil missing from Jerry Tribute |
i agree - not all artists and sport figures can appear at every single event where the fan base would assume they would appear. people do have lives outside of thier "job." I truly believe Phil when he states that he and Bobby are great friends. It is just that, like my life, nobody can make every appearance when one has children and/or contractual obligations that interfere with what they would like to be able to do. Although, in the case of Montana - i have met and talked with the guy - and he is a d*ick - no kidding involved. i have never met a more self-rigtheous egotist in my life (and i've met a few). Comparing him to Brady is pathetic. Brady is the anti-Montana (at least so far in his career).

Re: Phil missing from Jerry Tribute |
Phil said, in a statement, that his kid was moving into his dorm the day of the show. He said his family came first. Sorry if this is old news.

Re: Phil missing from Jerry Tribute |
to be honest!! - as pathetic as it may sound - i absolutely love the direwolf off of Reckoning. hate to site a commercial release, but that one just gets me :) such a great acoustic set. other than that, my favorite versions are me playin it acoustic with a couple of friends with couple of beers - such a great song singing with a couple of buddies. one of my favorite dead tunes.
